CIRD President Chi Fulin Attended ¡°Two Sessions¡± in Beijing

  On 2 March 2010, Prof. Chi Fulin, CIRD president and CPPCC member, left for Beijing to attend the 3rd plenary session of the 11th National Committee of the CPPCC and the 3rd plenary session of the 11th CPC National Congress. During the two sessions, Prof. Chi submitted three proposals: ¡°Speed up system reforms of China¡¯s income redistribution¡±, ¡°Recommendations on establishing local commercial banks in Hainan province¡± and ¡°Recommendations on the promotion of urban-rural integration in Hainan province¡±. He proposed to take the transformation of development models as guideline for the preparation of the 12th Five-Year Plan period. Prof. Chi¡¯s opinions were widely cited and reported by the media.
